Enjoy building and flying this amazing piece of history.
The J.II had the world’s first thick internally cantilevered wing.
Anthony Fokker tested it and developed his design E.V (D8) in a wooden version later in 1918. With its incredibly advanced overall clean lines and the earliest known belly radiator this model has features more akin to fighters from the second world war.
Unfortunately the engines of the time were not up to the task to power the first all steel airframe so the J.II remains a just curious foot note to history.
Originally designed as a 1/6 scale electric this model easily converts to gas/glow and has been enlarged to 1/4 ad 1/3 scale sizes.
Low wing loading makes it handle like a trainer and the highly detailed plans make scale finishing of the model a snap.
